What a month November was! When we decided to join the Ronald McDonald House Charities “Step for Sick Kids” challenge to take as many steps as we could for the month, we could not have foreseen what an incredible response we would have from our staff, customers, suppliers and our friends and family.
Every year over 2,400 families call Ronald McDonald House their home as they travel from afar to receive the care their child needs at a specialist hospital. The availability of this house to parents and siblings of sick children means families can stay together and feel supported when they most need it. Gordon Brothers is so pleased to have been able to contribute to this wonderful charity and we’re thrilled to have raised $30,270
Thank you to the Gordon Brothers Charitable Foundation, and the amazing companies and individuals who supported this cause and our participation in the challenge.
What about our spectacular staff who stepped up both figuratively and literally; personally donating, as well as taking an astounding 13,156,983 steps for the month??? Wow! According to the trusty internet, this roughly converts to 10,000 kms, which is about 237 marathons or the distance from Perth to Darwin via the east coast of Australia.
We loved being part of this challenge, we’re also a little bit glad it’s over. Time for some hard earned, feet up rest. Congratulations everyone!
